PHONE COUNSELLING AND HOUSING

At the reception, we ensure the constant presence of a counselor for the women and children in the shelter and to provide phone assistance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

COUNSELING FOR WOMEN AND CHILDREN

Our counselors support the sheltered woman in her journey to break the cycle of violence, while the youth counselor helps the children to express themselves about their experiences.

EXTERNAL ASSISTANCE

We offer a place for support and reflection for those who wish to explore the consequences of domestic violence in more depth.

Pacifix

This family intervention program helps the child overcome difficulties that may be associated with family violence and creates a safe space to rebuild the relationship with his/her parents.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH

We also hold various types of activities (conferences, workshops, booths, training, etc.) to raise awareness and prevent domestic violence.

Carrefour pour Elle is a living environment created by, for, and with women. We support and respect women in their choices and the steps they take. We promote egalitarian relationships as well as the resumption of power by women over their lives.

All our services are accessible according to our accommodation capacity, our ability to offer safe and confidential services, the availability of our human resources, and according to the needs of women and their children. We always carry out an individual assessment before offering services, and we keep the right to refer anyone to a more appropriate resource.

 

Availability of Services

All of our services are provided based on available funding and human resources, according to the needs identified with the women and the house’s ability to respond adequately to the requests it receives.

We are not responsible for the lack of accommodation and any waiting list for our individual, group, or family follow-up services.

For these reasons, we aren’t able to establish a processing time for accommodation or follow-up services requests.

 

Complaint Mechanism

If you aren’t satisfied with your experience with the representatives of Carrefour pour Elle, you can then file a complaint with the local Service Quality and Complaints Commissioner of the CISSS Montérégie-Centre.

You will be guided on the procedure to follow. Your complaint must include your name, address, and phone number as well as a short summary of the reasons and facts surrounding the deplored event. You will receive a receipt acknowledgment of your complaint.

The Commissioner has 45 days after receiving your complaint to assess it. All information collected will be kept in a separate file and will be treated confidentially. He will then communicate his conclusions and solutions suggestions to meet your expectations.

 

Effective Date

The service statement above was voted by Carrefour pour Elle’s Board of Directors and became effective on June 15, 2022.
