PHONE COUNSELLING AND HOUSING
At the reception, we ensure the constant presence of a counselor for the women and children in the shelter and to provide phone assistance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
COUNSELING FOR WOMEN AND CHILDREN
Our counselors support the sheltered woman in her journey to break the cycle of violence, while the youth counselor helps the children to express themselves about their experiences.
EXTERNAL ASSISTANCE
We offer a place for support and reflection for those who wish to explore the consequences of domestic violence in more depth.
Pacifix
This family intervention program helps the child overcome difficulties that may be associated with family violence and creates a safe space to rebuild the relationship with his/her parents.
COMMUNITY OUTREACH
We also hold various types of activities (conferences, workshops, booths, training, etc.) to raise awareness and prevent domestic violence.

The mission of Carrefour pour Elle is to help and shelter women victims of violence, with or without children.

Carrefour pour Elle is a living environment by, for, and with women. We support and respect women in their choices and actions. We promote equal relationships as well as the empowerment of women in their lives. All our services are accessible according to our accommodation capacity, our ability to offer safe and confidential services, our available human resources, as well as the needs of women and their children. We always conduct an individual assessment before offering services and reserve the right to refer anyone to a more appropriate resource.
4. Availability of services
All our services are provided based on the available funding and human resources, according to the needs identified with the women and the house’s capacity to adequately respond to the requests.
We are not responsible for the lack of accommodation and any waiting list for our individual, group, or family follow-up services. For these reasons, it is impossible for us to establish a processing time for accommodation requests or follow-up services.

6. Complaint Mechanism
If you are not satisfied with your approach to the representatives of Carrefour pour Elle, you can then file a complaint with the local commissioner for complaints and service quality at CISSS Montérégie-Centre.

You will be guided on the procedure to follow. Your complaint must include your name, address, and phone number, as well as a brief summary of the reasons and facts surrounding the unfortunate event. You will receive an acknowledgment of your complaint.
The commissioner has 45 days after receiving your complaint to study it. All the information collected will be recorded in a separate file and will be treated with complete confidentiality. He will communicate his conclusions to you, their reasons, and the solutions considered to meet your expectations.
Every victim has the right to be informed of the outcome of their complaint.

8. Adoption date
The declaration of services for victims of criminal offenses was adopted by the board of directors of Carrefour pour Elle on June 15, 2022. This version was amended on June 11, 2025, to comply with the guidelines of the Office of Support for Services to Victims of Crime (OSSVC).
